Root canal?

yester day i got a root canal on my second back left molar. after the novicane wore off, my jaw area hurts, but not as much as before. now its the next morining and it still hurts and my left cheek is HUGE. i felt it and my gums around the tooth is HUGE and SWOLLEN. is somthing wrong, is that normal? the procedure was done without pain. thanks

You may want to call or go back to the dentist office about that swelling. That is not normal. I've had a couple of root canals and they may be a little sore the next day, but not dreadfully painful with a lot of swelling.
Reply:swelling today like that is not normal call em back and tell them they may have not done something right.. oh and get a cap on that root canal if ya can
Reply:I would definitely go back ASAP! I don't think there should be any swelling like that after a root canal.
