Root Canal??

I just had one done yesterday and It hurts just to thouch my teeth togther. No way can I eat anything on that side yet. He made it sound like I would be fine to eat there after my mounth was no longer numb.

It hurts worse then before he did it to eat or bit down.

Is this normal? and if so how long will this last?

Please looking for real answers!

Thanks

Root Canal??
It's very normal for the tooth to be extra tender for 24-48 hours after a root canal. Try taking 800mg of Ibuprofen to see if that helps relieve some of your discomfort.
Reply:yeah, it is normal for it to be a little sore. take ibuprofen or any anti-inflammatory. does it feel like the filling he placed in the tooth is really bulky? if so, your bite may need to be adjusted.
Reply:I had one done two weeks ago. I had to take codeine the first night but it got better the next day. It hurt for 5 days after getting it, but only slightly, then it stopped.
