Root canal pain after 2 weeks?

ok so i had root canal done in same theeth for the second time. it was for the top front left thooth and i had an enfection because on the 1st root canal i didint get a crown put on it so i had to redo it again 2 weeks ago. i had a major infection after it was done and my whole left side of my face got swollen so bad all the way up to my eye. fortunately the pain has minimized but i still cannot eat with top left side of my theeth wich are the front ones because the molars are ok. i still have pain n it hurts all the way to the top of my left eye and the side of my nose. i was put a week before the root canal ok pennissillin and even after but the pain is still there is this normal has it happen to any one before.. i have tired to look online but i only get answers on root canal done on molars but i had mine done on the top front left thooth the one right next to the big middle one but i do not get any info on that.. anny suggestions will do thanks

Sounds like your rct has failed again, or your body just needs more time to heal the infection-hard to tell without seeing an xray. Make sure if the infection goes anywhere near your eye you go to emerg asap as that is real close to your brain. Next time you see your Dentist have him/her take an xray, this will show the infection and he/she can compair it to the old xray-this will show if the infection is healing or getting worse. Its normal to have a little pain especially after retreatment. If the rct has failed you can always think about implant or bridgework. Hope this helps
