ok i was in the dentist 2 days ago and they fixed my root canal on my tooth the dentist guy said he jsut put medicine on my tooth he put some white stuff on my tooth my tooth still hurts do i have to go bak to dentist i dont wanna go i scared =[

Root canal?
a little discomfort now will save you a world of pain.

suck it up, and go back to the dentist.

things may ache a bit for a few days.

the body needs time to heal.
Reply:it'll be alright.he'll prolly get you some painkillers.
Reply:root canal is the procedure by which the nerve-pulp is remove from the tooth for the fact it has be infected which causes toothache-the "while stuff" is calcium hydroxide which is good in helping healing and eliminating bacterias., so that finalizing the Root Canal there is less probability that the treated tooth will hurt again
Reply:Dentists want you back for reasons if they think something is wrong they will fix it Dont worry at all dentist are verry professional they put you in great hands dont worry please!!
Reply:It sounds like they have "only just begun" with your tooth, but the first visit is usually the worst. From here, it should only get easier. It's tedious and boring, but easier for you.
Reply:darling girl, dentist are not superman, a root canal done on your tooth means something's very wrong already. i dunno why you had root canal, but it is most likely root infection, cavity too big or other conditions that has actually 'killed' your tooth. root canal treatment is whereby trying to keep your tooth there without extracting it.

it does consist of several steps, i'm sure your dentist has already told you about that, didnt he?

by removing your pulp and placing the white stuff, which we call the temporary dressing, is to see how your body reacts to this procedure. it does hurt at first, some people even hurts for a month or two, but its doesnt really matter. different people's body react in different ways.

the reason why he ask you to go back is to check how the teeth respond to the treatment. if its okay, he will remove the white stuff and place a permenant filling on top. if not, he will prolly give you some anti-biotic or pain-killer to ease the pain.

you should go back, you never know what happen in there below the white stuff.
Reply:Just go back and see him,and explain that you are still having some pain. Its normal to be scared.
