Root Canal?

I had a root canal done, and the dentist packed my tooth.

Whatever he packed it with is brushing away.

My next apt is in 2 1/2 weeks away!

It is all going to be brushed away by then!

Don't I need a crown or something?

Root Canal?
yeah...you really do need a crown. Did they forget to put it on? Call the dentist immediately!!!!
Reply:I think they usually first put the packing stuff and then wait a bit for you to get over that before they put a crown on. I know because I had a root canal done and he just put the putty filling stuff and then asked me to come back to get a crown put in.
Reply:Hi,

Typically a root canal requires two appointments. First they remove the soft tissue, begin shaping the canals and pack everything with temporary filling, then in the second appointment they finish shaping the canals pack them with the permanent rubbery stuff. After that the tooth has to be restored with a crown. Good luck, I'm up for some oral surgery because my root canal failed. I'll spare you the details :-)
