Root canal?

I am 14 years old and my dentist told me that the 2 teeth that I chipped became 2 root canal and now I am really scared to get them fixed can you guys tell

Root canal?
As a dentist I can tell you that you have nothing to worry about. A root canal is a very painless procedure, your dentist will numb you gum with a Lidocaine injection that will block the nerve from feeling any pain. The shot itself is rather painless too, most people compare it to a slight pinch or bee sting. You may have some soreness after your root canal, but it is nothing to worry about. Just relax and take a deep breath and you will be fine. Good Luck!
Reply:Just had one done last week. Painless. It just takes a long time to complete.
Reply:it doesnt hurt! i just had one last week. at first the dentist drills the tooth just like a regular cavity, then he takes out the nerve with needle-like thingies. but i promise it wont hurt you one bit since you will have local anesthesia [novacaine]. good luck
Reply:Root canals are no big deal. I was actually bored during mine.
Reply:Root canal are not that scarry as what you think they are! However, it depends on how gentle your dentist is.I hope your parents are paying for it for they are expensive dental procedure...with crown and root canal procedure I am estimating around $ 1200-1400 is the total cost minus the coverage of your insurrance.

Good Luck!
