Root Canal?

I just had a root canal done today. I was having pain in my tooth for months but on the x ray it didnt really show any sign of infection or problem at all. We went ahead and did the root canal because of the pain and the Dentist said "wow this root and tooth looks bad, it needed a root canal for sure!!" Even though no sign on the x ray..... I would advise anyone having tooth pain to be firm with your dentist!! You know your mouth better then they do! X Rays are not always right! I do wonder how many people out there have had x rays and sent home even though they were exprienceing horrible pain? This is my second root canal in less then a month..these teeth are back to back..13 and 14. My dentist and I couldnt figure out what the problem was until today,wow I hope my misery is done. If you have any questions about this please write me! I think I can be a dentist after all I have been through. Oh and I do love my dentist but concerned for others facing the same problem! 2 dentists later
